ABOUT PASTOR FRANKLIN WALDEN JR.
Franklin D. Walden, Jr. was born in 1978 to Franklin Sr. and Carolyn K. Walden in Tucker, Dekalb County, GA. He was the youngest of three children, having two older sisters, Newana and Teresa Walden. He was educated in Christian Schools all his life and was called to preach the gospel at the age of fifteen. He began preparing himself for a life in the ministry and, after graduation from High School, he attended Beulah Heights Bible College in Atlanta, GA.
Franklin Jr. was licensed to preach at the age of eighteen and later became an ordained minister in 2000. Franklin Jr. continued his education and on July 26, 2003 he graduated from Zoe University in Jacksonville, FL with a Bachelor's Degree in Theology and is currently working on his Master's Degree.
In December 2002 Franklin Jr. married Michelle Blankenship of Thomasville, GA and they are the proud parents of a beautiful baby girl, Elizabeth Danielle, born in March 2005. Franklin Jr. and Michelle make their home in North Florida and he pastors a church called "The Vision Church" located at 2711 Bemiss Road, Valdosta, GA 31602. Franklin, Jr. also assists his Father, Dr. Franklin Walden, Sr., with Franklin Walden Ministries and it's outreaches.
Franklin Jr. was invited to preach in the same church in Winnipeg, Canada where his Father, Franklin Sr., began his evangelistic career many years ago. He did preach and since that time has gone back to Winnipeg, Ontario, Canada to preach several times. Franklin Jr. pastors the above mentioned church in Valdosta and began the church less than two years ago with approximately thirty-five people on Sunday morning. Presently, the crowd goes over one hundred people each Sunday morning and often around fifty for Sunday night service. Regardless of doing a great job as Pastor of The Vision Church and preaching as a guest at locations throughout the United States and Canada, Franklin's heart's desire is to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ far and wide. He is content to now pastor the church and assist his Father, Franklin Walden, Sr., but his long term plans are to evangelize and lead hurting souls to Jesus.
